The Vision

This expansive basement entertainment space showcases how thoughtful system design and integration can transform a lower level into a versatile destination for recreation and relaxation. The challenge was coordinating audio, video, and lighting systems across a large open floor plan that includes a wet bar area and multiple entertainment zones. The solution required comprehensive planning to ensure every component—from in-ceiling speakers to the wall-mounted display—worked together seamlessly while maintaining the clean, uncluttered aesthetic essential to the contemporary design.

Design & Installation

Through our Design Connected package, our senior designers worked directly with the homeowner and builder to develop a comprehensive plan that addressed every technical detail. This included positioning Origin Acoustics in-ceiling speakers for optimal sound coverage throughout the space, coordinating TV placement and outlet locations with the architectural elements, and planning lighting that would complement both the bar area and the open entertainment zone.

The Design Connected process provided unlimited redline revisions throughout the electrical prewire phase, ensuring speaker locations, lighting circuits, and AV infrastructure were precisely positioned before walls closed up. Our team was present at the electrical walk to guide placement decisions and returned for a follow-up jobsite visit to confirm quantities and selections at time of order. The Samsung Frame TV integrates seamlessly into the entertainment wall, transforming from viewing centerpiece to digital art display when not in use.

Our designer remained available during installation to navigate questions as they arose, followed by an after-install visit to make final adjustments. The result is a basement entertainment space where every system works in harmony—from distributed audio that fills the room with rich sound to lighting that adapts to any activity, all backed by our one-year service warranty.
