The Vision
This great room showcases how integrated audio, video, and lighting systems can work together to create a space that's both architecturally dramatic and technically sophisticated. The soaring vaulted wood ceiling and stone fireplace wall provided the perfect canvas for a comprehensive design that balances the visual impact of a statement chandelier with the practical requirements of a modern entertainment system. The challenge was creating proper illumination across multiple ceiling heights while seamlessly integrating premium audio components and wall-mounted display—all without compromising the room's warm, rustic-modern aesthetic.
Design & Installation
Through our Lighting Design Package, every element was strategically coordinated to work in harmony. Our designers provided detailed consultations, electrical walks, and on-site installation oversight to ensure the lighting, audio speakers, and video components integrated flawlessly with the architecture while maintaining the clean, uncluttered look essential to the design vision.
The dramatic Capital Lighting ring chandelier commands attention as the room's centerpiece, suspended at the perfect height to provide ambient illumination while serving as sculptural art against the wood ceiling. Its multiple candelabra bulbs create warm, inviting light that complements the natural materials throughout the space. Nora recessed cans are strategically positioned throughout the ceiling plane to deliver uniform ambient lighting while WAC accent fixtures highlight the texture and craftsmanship of the stone fireplace wall.
Origin Acoustics in-ceiling speakers are discreetly integrated into the wood ceiling, delivering exceptional sound quality without visual intrusion—their placement carefully coordinated with the lighting plan to maintain ceiling balance. An Episode in-wall subwoofer provides deep, rich bass while remaining completely hidden within the architecture. The Samsung 85" Frame TV mounts seamlessly above the fireplace, transforming from entertainment centerpiece to digital art display when not in use. Professional installation ensures no visible wires compromise the clean aesthetic, with all components likely housed in an adjacent space with proper infrared control. The result is a great room where dramatic lighting, premium audio, and integrated video converge to create an entertainment destination that feels both timeless and thoroughly modern.
