This multi-level home demonstrates how integrated lighting and automation systems can unify dramatic vertical spaces, creating seamless control and ambiance across every floor while enhancing the architectural drama of vaulted ceilings and open sightlines.
Design & Installation
Our Integrated Luxury design package was essential for coordinating the complex requirements of this vertical space. Designers worked through detailed specifications for the sculptural Sonneman chandelier suspended over the stairwell—calculating exact drop lengths, electrical routing through multiple floors, and visual impact from every viewing angle. The vaulted wood ceiling in the great room required careful planning for recessed can placement that would provide even illumination without compromising the clean aesthetic. Fixture elevations, beam angle calculations, and on-site electrical walks ensured that every light source—from the statement chandelier to the discreet recessed cans—was positioned for optimal effect. Follow-up visits fine-tuned dimming curves and programmed sophisticated lighting scenes that adapt to different times of day and activities.
The Minka Aire fan provides both circulation and integrated lighting for the vaulted space, while decorative sconces add accent lighting throughout. Discreet Origin Acoustics ceiling speakers deliver whole-home audio that flows seamlessly between levels. The Samsung Frame TV transforms the fireplace wall into an entertainment centerpiece that displays art when not in use. Hunter Douglas motorized window treatments provide effortless control over natural light and privacy. The entire system—lighting, audio, video, and shades—is orchestrated through Control4 and Josh.AI, offering intuitive control via touch screens, keypads, remotes, and voice commands. The result is a home where sophisticated technology enhances rather than complicates daily living.
