This open-concept kitchen demonstrates how strategic lighting zones can define spaces, enhance functionality, and create dramatic focal points—all while maintaining a cohesive design aesthetic that flows from cooking area to dining nook to entry.
Design & Installation
Through our Integrated Luxury design package, every lighting zone in this kitchen was meticulously planned to serve distinct purposes while working in harmony. Our designers created detailed specifications for fixture placement, scale considerations relative to the soaring ceilings, and dimming controls for each zone. The sculptural Sonneman chandelier over the stairwell required precise suspension calculations and electrical planning to achieve its dramatic multi-angle effect. On-site presence during electrical walks and installation ensured that the island pendants aligned perfectly with the seating layout, recessed cans provided even ambient coverage, and under-cabinet tape lighting created that luxurious glow. Follow-up visits fine-tuned each zone's brightness levels and programmed intuitive scenes through the Josh.AI system.
The lighting zones work seamlessly together: recessed Nora cans provide foundational ambient light throughout the space, while the trio of Savoy House pendants delivers focused task lighting over the island workspace. The show-stopping Sonneman fixture transforms the entry into an art installation, casting dynamic shadows and drawing the eye upward. American Lighting tape light beneath cabinets and toe kicks adds depth and visual lift, making the space feel more expansive. Discreet Origin Acoustics ceiling speakers integrate whole-home audio without competing with the lighting design. Voice control through Josh.AI brings it all together, allowing effortless adjustment of lighting scenes, music, and more—making this kitchen as intelligent as it is beautiful.
